how’s it going? smoothly and with love?

i have landed in beijing only 24 small hours ago, and slowly my body is waiting for my spirit to catch up with it. missed a gig due to a very delayed airplane outta jfk. bummer. but have a gig tomorrow with my new electronica project. it’s at a club in the sanlitun village, right around the dark corner of bar blue. called La ZA ZOU or something like that. starts at 915pm it’s cool, they just opened. there’s a big stage and lots of sofa lounges for the audience to chill. there is a disco as well as a restaurant. so in the real sense of the word, club works for this venue. i will wear one of my new fine exquisite numbers i bought in bloomingdales (on sale & then on sale again) and we will experiment electronically. if it goes well, that’s every saturday.

i really enjoyed my time at home. being a part of my sister’s birth was very magical. i am grateful to the whole visit all my friends and family…the us is a trip…

anyhow, just a quick update from the wind-whacked colder-than-a-witches-titty cold outside…  love & light ***jessssssss

WOW. i am having an amazing time here. The musicians that I am playing with are top notch AND super great people to top it all off. We played last night at The LIvingroom on the lower east side. Unfortunately we only unleashed our magic for 40 minutes (there was alot more where that came from) BUT the entire crowd (most of whom I did not know) were REALLY into it.

Tonight we’re playing at The New Leaf Cafe from 8pm-1130pm. It’s a beautifully situated restaurant in Ft Tyron Park (Take the A Train to 191 Street, exit Ft. Washington) so if you are into hearing some amazing music – we’ll be playing my originals (off the new album, Divine) as well as our favorite jazz standards. Players are:

of course ME on vocals & Guitar
